Ghislaine Roux, Mezzo-soprano  

Native of Savoy, she begins with ballet, before turning to singing (gold medal at the conservatory). Then, she studied at CNIPAL (Marseille) before moving to Paris where she participated in productions of Opera (Britten's Peter Grimes, Don Carlos by Verdi, Janacek's Jenufa at the Théâtre du Châtelet). 

In 1996 she joined the Choir of the Paris National Opera, and also holds solo parts in "Lohengrin" by Wagner, "Peter Grimes" by Britten, "The Knight of the Rose" by Strauss, "Dialogue of the Carmelites" by Poulenc "The Woman Without Shadow" by Strauss, "La Damnation de Fraust" by Berlioz "War and Peace"by Prokofiev, etc ... 
She sings Metella in Offenbach’s "La Vie Parisienne" and his favorite roles Bizet's Carmen and Périchole at Chambery for several years, regularly performs in the region of Aix. She regularly sings concerts / recitals (Bizet, Mozart, Rossini, Saint-Saëns ...), oratorios / cantatas (Vivaldi, Bach, Pergolesi, Purcell ...) and melodies (Strauss, Rachmaninov, Brahms, Duparc ...), accompanied by "The Bows Paris", especially in the Sainte Chapelle and the Church of Saint-Germain-des-Prés (Paris). In addition, each year since 2004, she is invited to the Summer Festival "Sorru in Musica" at Vico in Corsica.
